Alyssa Spellman - 2004
Local Title: Miss Hooksett
School: Emerson College
Scholarship/Participation: Alyssa E. Spellman competed for three years at Miss New Hampshire and won as Miss Hooksett on April 30, 2004. At the time she won she was a 21-year-old Junior Dean's List double-major at Emerson College in Boston - pursuing a BS is Management Communication and a BA in Theater Studies. Her platform was: "Media Literacy: Helping Kids Get The Message." Alyssa's vocal accomplishments wowed the judges as she sang, "The Laughing Song" from Die Fleidermaus. Alyssa won more than $58,000 in scholarships during her three years in our program. At Miss America, Alyssa won a nonfinalist interview award. Back home she traveled to every corner of the Granite State speaking to middle school students.
