Become a Contestant
Annual Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen Competition is scheduled for February 15-17, 2008. Deadline to enter is Friday, December 7, 2007.
How To Become a Contestant in Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen Program:
The 4th Annual Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen competition is open to all residents or full time students in the State of New Hampshire who meet the eligibility requirements set out below. There is no entry fee, but there is a $100.00 seat deposit that will be refunded to you as long as you appear in the competition. The winner of New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen competition will compete in Miss America's Outstanding Teen Program, which should be in August of 2008. Please e-mail the chair of the Teen event, Dr. Stephanie Mills at Outstandingteenchair@missnh.org with any questions. You may download the application materials from Miss America's Outstanding Teen, or you may write to us at the Miss New Hampshire Organization at 20 East Broadway, 2nd floor, Derry, NH 03038.
To compete in the Teen Program, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be at least 13 by February 15, 2008 (the first day of the Miss NH's Outstanding Teen Program).
- Live or attend school full time in New Hampshire for at least the last six months prior to the state competition (Feb. 15th).
- Be no older than 17 years of age as of August 31, 2008.
- Must not be eligible to compete on the Miss level in the Miss America Program at any point during the current Pageant Year. (For example, if a contestant turns 17 years of age on the last day that a local Miss pageant is being held in her state, and will be graduating in the Spring...and she chooses to not compete or is unable to compete in that competition for any reason other than eligibility, then she is still "eligible" to compete on the Miss level and is therefore ineligible to compete in the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Program)
- Be a United States Citizen
- Meet the character criteria as set forth by the Miss America Outstanding Teen
Organization.
- Be able to meet the time commitment and responsibilities as set forth by the Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen Program and should you win, be able to travel with your mother or other assigned traveling companion to Orlando Florida in August of 2008 to compete for the national title.

* We will begin with interviews and on-stage competitions on Friday, February 15th if the number of applicants warrants doing so. Otherwise we will begin on Saturday morning, February 16th. In order to accommodate class schedules, we will not begin interviews until after 2:30 p.m. on Friday. In order to accommodate students who travel the greatest distance, we will try to schedule those students for interviews on Saturday rather than Friday.
