Julia Neveu, of Manchester, is our third Miss New Hampshire's Outstanding Teen. She is a member of the class of 2008 at Manchester Memorial High School. Her platform is "Eating Disorders Awareness." An honor roll student at Memorial, her educational goal is to be accepted into a prestigious performing arts college where she plans to major in dance. A member of Memorial's Orchestra, Drama Club, Student Council, and Pep Rally Committee, Julia placed third in her high school's version of "American Idol." Julia performed in the Palace Theatre's teen production of High School Musical.
Julia has traveled to London, and via the Eurostar train also traveled to Paris. She plays the violin, has one older brother, and cherishes her dog. She has served as a volunteer counselor for the last five years at a children's summer dance camp in Manchester, has performed at the Veteran's Hospital and at the Opening Ceremony of the New Hampshire Regional Special Olympics.
Julia, who won her title on February 11, 2007, competed with 29 other outstanding teens from throughout the Granite State. During the talent competition, Julia danced a Ballet En Pointe to Michael Bublé's "Feeling Good." She will compete for the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen the week of August 7th-11th in Orlando, Florida.
