Meghan Lamontagne of Pelham is our first Miss New Hampshire’s Outstanding Teen. She is a member of the class of 2006 at Pelham High School. Her platform is "Mentoring Today’s Youth for Tomorrow’s Leaders". An honor roll student at Pelham, she is a member of the Technical Honor Society, the National Honor Society, and was honored as the Hugh O’Brien award winner during her sophomore year. She recently won the VFW Essay Award, has volunteered for Peer Outreach and Toys for Tots. Since 1991, Meghan has been a member of The Red Star Twirlers.
Meghan plans to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Communications and journalist and eventually become a journalist for a major magazine or a broadcaster for a news station. Meghan won $10,000.00 on "America’s Funniest Home Videos". She has performed for the Boston Celtics, Fisher Cats, and Nashua Pride, at the 2003 AXA Liberty Bowl, the 2004 Nokia Sugar Bowl, and in 2004 toured Germany as a member of the Red Stars.
Meghan, who won her title on May 8, 2005 competing with 18 other outstanding teen students, will compete for the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen in Orlando Florida the week of August 13 – 20th.
